Chris has a deep appreciation for and understanding of the range of emotions and stress that families go through when placing a loved one into an aged care facility and works to provide solutions that reduce their anxiety and provide them with clarity and peace of mind about the financial aspects of securing residential aged care
He helps families to evaluate a variety of matters and make decisions regarding accommodation facilities, entry and ongoing fees, restructuring assets and income, and how these decisions impact on pension benefits, tax effectiveness, and estate planning.
His work enables families to determine if they can afford aged care by establishing their assessable assets and income and calculating and helping them understand aged care fees. They help families improve their financial position by developing options to restructure their assets and income in order to optimise fees, age pension, tax effectiveness, and cash-flow (this includes helping them to decide whether to sell or keep the home).
Chris helps families complete and lodge documentation with Centrelink and DVA when they need to place a loved one in residential aged care.
